Young Scientist Award
PhD and MSc students younger than 32 years are particularly encouraged to present their work at the workshop. As in previous workshops, the EARSeL Bureau is sponsoring this award to honour best oral presentations and best poster presentations from young scientists.
There will be dedicated Young Scientist Awards sessions in the programme and a live voting.

GreenEARSeL Award
In addition to the Young Scientist Award, we want to assign a prize for the most sustainable participation in this conference. That may include (1) reducing the footprint of your conference participation, or (2) contributions presenting research related to environmental and climate protection. Inspire us and your colleagues with your activities and submit your contribution!
- (1) Reducing the carbon footprint of the conference
If your contribution is directly aiming at reducing carbon emissions, how much did you save compared to which benchmark (e.g., travelling a given distance by train as compared to airplane)? Let us know the benchmark (e.g., vehicle) + benchmark emission as well as reduction (e.g., vehicle) + your emission.
- (2) Other environmental aspects
How else do you contribute to (ecological) sustainability in the context of this workshop? Please write a few lines about yourself and your project (max. 300 words), e.g., what did inspire you and why/how you think your project will inspire others. This can be related to your presented work (e.g., how does your research contribute to carbon emission reduction as well as other environmental aspects) or to your workshop participation (e.g., hosting a whole lot of workshop participants, …).
