The workshop will take place under the applicable national regulations as well as the regulations of the host institutions. The organizers have taken special care to have large well-ventilated rooms and to move parts of the programme outdoors whenever possible in order to make the face-to-face workshop as safe as possible. We kindly ask all participants to strictly follow the rules. Please check the websites and information below regularly for further details.
Entry regulations for Germany
Potsdam is located in the Federal State of Brandenburg. Corona restrictions in Brandenburg have been lifted. However, you still have to wear an FFP2 mask in public transport as well as medical facilities.
Regulations of the host institutions
According to the current workshop hygiene concept, admission to the workshop is restricted to participants who have been free of symptoms of COVID-19 infection for at least six days (fever over 38°C, cough, cold, headache, aching limbs, fatigue and scratchy throat).
A general minimum distance of 1.5 m shall be maintained between all participants indoors, including in the lecture halls, corridors, foyer, cloakroom and sanitary areas. If the minimum distance of 1.5 m between guests cannot be maintained, participants shall wear an FFP2 mask. FFP-2 masks are provided free of charge for all participants. Please take one if you forgot to bring your own.
Likewise, COVID self-tests will be available free of charge for each participant at the venue. We kindly urge all participants to test themselves daily in the morning before leaving for the event and to stay away from the venue if they test positive. This increases the safety and well-being for everyone.
All rooms are regularly ventilated and contact surfaces disinfected. Disinfectant dispensers for hand hygiene and Corona self-tests will be available for voluntary use by guests. Generally, we will provide open and well-ventilated spaces and allow activities to take place outside whenever possible. Food and beverage services will preferably be provided in the outdoor areas.
We want to ensure the greatest possible safety for all participants. Please actively support us in these efforts and feel free to contact us at any time at earsel22@gfz-potsdam.de if you have further questions.
